Starting from bustling city of Jakarta, Indonesia, I embarked on a solo journey, riding an average of 350 km per day, which was quite a challenge in trucks heavy traffic across Sumatra! I was impressed by the infrastructure and well-maintained roads in Malaysia and Thailand, where it was very convenient to charge my electric bike. Laos, on the other hand, added an exciting twist to my journey with its rugged terrains, muddy paths, rain-soaked trails, and stunning mountain views. China provided a whole new experience with Yunnan mountains views, the Gobi Desert, and the roads filled with wind turbines in Xinjiang province. The country has already banned combustion motorcycles in all cities, and what a difference it makes! I saw first hand in China how cities become more livable, quiet and pleasant once all the motorcycles are electric.

Of course, no journey is without its challenges. Along the borderline road between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, I must encounter the gusty, strong winds. Luckily, I discovered a charging plug on a roadside lamp pole, and with renewed energy, I persevered against the winds toward the city.

75 days in Asia was a remarkable journey, enriched by its cultural diversity and extraordinary landscapes.
